Alligators are usually found in the southern United States, this freshwater species is considered one of the less aggressive ones. The alligator is certainly not a crocodile. Its short and stout head, smooth scales make its skin immediately recognisable. The alligator is the preferred species for watch bands/straps, with its characteristic scales, very squared, and the marked contrasts between the scale patterns of the flanks and the belly.
Crocodile Porous leather has the image of aboriginal patterns bearing a magical balance; the square scales of the belly and those slightly more rounded of the sides harmoniously join together with a sense of rhythm. The ISOs, which serve as sensory captors on the scales and permit the animal to detect movement and adjust its temperature, become, once tanned, rounded elements that punctuate the base of each scale. The saltwater crocodile is a crocodilian native to saltwater habitats, brackish wetlands and freshwater rivers from India's east coast across Southeast Asia and the Sundaic region to northern Australia
Crocodile Niloticus (Nile) as the name suggests, is sourced from the Nile river. The skins have a small pore, which can be found at the edge of each skin. It is is the main sensory organ that allows the animal to movie in the fresh waters. Sourced from farms mainly in South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe
